Upadrasta Dairy Specialities Ltd was established in the year 1995 with the purpose of manufacturing dairy products especially desi ghee (butter oil) in HYDERABAD in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India. The product is marketed under the brand name 'SURUCHI' and is a well known brand not only nationally but international as well. The product is popular and well accepted in the Indian markets especially in the south of India for its traditional flavour, excellent quality and granularity. The company also manufactures north Indian white ghee and Cow ghee in various pack sizes ranging from 20 ml to 1000 ml and bulk packaging of 15 kgs tins. The company has a manufacturing capacity of about 1000 tonnes per annum.
Upadrasta Dairy Specialities Ltd has a scientific and yet traditional method of manufacture where the whole process of manufacturing is totally done untouched by human hand. It is manned by highly experienced dairy technologists in the most hygienic conditions for that perfect traditional flavour, granularity and taste. The entire process is done in SS316 special food grade melting vats and storage containers.
The company also manufactures ghee on job work basis and has taken up the same with M/s Heritage foods (India) Ltd, Hyderabad. At present the company is in a tie up with M/s ANIK Industries to manufacture special south Indian full boiled ghee under their brand name ANIK. The same is being sold in the southern states of India. The company also undertakes conversion of butter and cream to ghee charging a conversion charge thereby helping other manufacturers of ghee to easily transport the finished product saving on transportation costs and also making available the finished products directly to their sales depot or marketing outlets.
The strength of the company lies in the promoters vast experience in the dairy field, good ethical practice and its popular reputation in the dairy industry .Procurement of quality raw material through out the year and its ability to manufacture tailor made ghee to suit the end users. Ghee packing is done with highly advanced packing equipments to maintain quality and flavour. The packing is done in food grade lacquered tins and food grade hdpe/aluminium foil sachets ranging from 20ml to 1000 ml.
