Industrial solvent basically refers to a substance in which another substance gets dissolved and forms a solution. In simple words, solvents are capable of dissolving or dispelling another substance. Solvent is a fluid phase such as gas, liquid or plasma which possesses the capability to dissolve a solid, liquid, or gaseous solute, resulting in a solution. Water is a perfect epitome of solvent. Apart from this, there exist different organic chemicals in which solvents are used.
Industrials Solvents have been widely used to extract soluble compounds from a mixture; the most common example is the brewing of coffee or tea with hot water. Solvents are well known for their clear and colorless appearance though for bit and odors. The examples of organic solvent consist tetrachloroethylene which is usually used for dry cleaning; toluene, turpentine which are used in paint thinners. There are so many other examples of solvents, which are differently used for numerous purposes.
