For over 70 years, Salem Distributing has successfully served three distinct industries: Flat Glass and Mirror, Precision Electro-Optical and Ophthalmic. All these industries produce a specified surface condition. From brilliant beveled mirrors to critical surface preparation of gallium arsenide semiconductor material to pristine finishes of high-index ophthalmic lenses, Salem is capable of supplying the materials and technical expertise needed. This complex relationship of industries, materials and variation of themes has served to build a vast wealth of product and process knowledge unique to a single company.

In 2001, Salem Distributing once again distilled all of its fields of expertise and began serving a new industry – stone. Salem Stone introduced the Bovone line of stone edging equipment along with an extensive offering of cost-effective, high-quality stone working supplies.
